Welcome to hell!

This server started out as just as a place to sit around and play EpicMafia, but over time it’s evolved into something that sorta has a loosey-goosey continuity to it. if you have questions about some facet of it that doesn’t make sense, or an event a character mentioned, just ask someone. The storyline is super loose and there's a lot of random events. Now, It’s both a hangout chat and a roleplay chat.

So, honestly, you’re not obligated to join the verse side of the chat if you want a place to chill and meet new people. We’re a very non-judgmental and supportive group. we RP in three different ways here: through EpicMafia, Chatzy, and the Discord channels.

General rules

• Before you invite any friends over, use the @everyone in invite friends only and wait a full 24 hours for everyone within the server to see and give their approval.

  • Once you invite someone in, you have to wait before inviting another person. Please only invite 1-2 people at a time.

• Please do not abuse the @everyone and @here and mindful of any rules specific channels have

• We have a triggers list, so please be mindful of this list! Be sure to add your own triggers so that we can have members avoid certain a topic or image.

• Talk to a mod anytime you have an issue with a problem. The mods are Yume, Ogo, Gira, Mattie, and Murry.

• We are doubles friendly and OC friendly!

  • If you feel nervous about picking up a double, please feel free to talk privately to the mun and ask them about it!

• Please do not force a romantic or platonic ship with people within the discord!

Discord

We have channels for chilling out and channels for roleplaying. We’re very open to all kinds of roleplay styles whether you’re someone who does mostly one-liners or straight up novellas (although, discord has a 2000 word limit, so you will have to break it up in parts).

Roleplay Channels

• Knifebook

  • Muses are given phones as soon as they appear and can be used for group texts or one-on-one!

• Dating App Chat

  • For talking to muses you’re interested in shipping or starting friendships with! Please note: approach the muse’s mun first!

• VIP Room (locked)

  • This is for EpicMafia! This allows muses to watch an interrogator game. Please ask for the role if this interests you!

• Aftermath

  • Also for EpicMafia. It is for muses who want to hash out their feelings that happened in game.

• Apartments

  • Where the muses sleep. Each muse has their own apartment given to them once they appear in town.

• Archived RPs

  • This is where we put retired rp and event channels that are finished!

Out of Character Channels

• Triggers

  • We put our members first so we take care to make sure you’re safe! We cannot avoid all triggers (such as violence and murder), but we do take it very seriously!

• Healing

  • This is where you can talk about any problems you have. We are open to the issues people face and will do our best to help you out.

• Media

  • For fandom talk! We don’t make a channel for every fandom, but for ones that are most popular among our members. (some channels are locked for spoilers)

• Art & Resources

  • Like to draw, edit, or any other kind of creative endeavour? This is where you can place them!

These channels are locked for the sake of spoilers. Some Channels are locked due to RP mechanics we implemented to make it more fun! Please ask for these channels to get the roles.

Epicmafia

This is where we handle another portion of our roleplays and how this discord came to be. There are a few rules to follow if you want to be apart of the EM portion of the roleplay ( IT IS NOT REQUIRED OR MANDATED TO PLAY). This game is taken place in a world that is digitalized, so revival is possible, but the pain is still real.

Sign up

• Unfortunately, you have to sign up for Epicmafia. But, signing up and playing is free.

OOC Spectating

• Spectating is allowed, but here are the rules for spectating:

  • You cannot use out of character knowledge as in character knowledge

  • If you have a muse who gained a role that allows you to investigate (police, detective, etc) or a role that is mafia, you are not allowed to spectate

    • The exception is during an interrogator game. (more on this in VIP section.

  • If you have a muse who has no night actions (powers you can only enable at night) please ask the chat without giving away your role to spectate on another account

  • Angels are allowed to spectate and choose to die for their charge if it makes for good IC drama.

  • Spectating is allowed even if you don’t plan to join the games with your muse. (See IC spectating)

IC spectating

• All TVs in the town are programmed to broadcast the games on a random channel called The BB Channel. This changes every time your muse turns on their TV. Every channel becomes the BB Channel once you land on it until you unplug your tv.

  • Only the day time phase is shown on TV. Once the game turns to night, commercials ran by BB begins

  • Muses in the game cannot use their phones. They become defunct until the game is over.

VIP Spectating

• This is a special role given to muns to allow their muses (who enjoy violence and death) a special viewing of the night phase of the interrogation game.

  • They are also given a special anonymous chat to talk in!

  • If your muse has VIP and are in the game, they can no longer use any VIP functions or their phone.

Chatzy

Chatzy is the third option where we do chatplay in a chatroom. You don’t have to sign up! Just place your character’s name and hex code. Please ask for the link and password in the discord.

Formatting for chatzy

Use all lowercase

• [b][/b] for bold

• [i][/i] for italics

• [s][/s] for strikethrough

• /me for actions

• /choose to have chatzy choose
